How I lost my baby weight and gained confidence and energy to be my BEST SELF!!




I found this picture of me when I was pregnant with Kayla! This was 3 months before I was due!! I wound up gaining a total of 85 pounds during the pregnancy. I still haven't found a picture at the end of the pregnancy or after yet. My body just blew up during my pregnancies for some reason where I was borderline with edema. I was a super duper happy pregnant girl eating tons of ice cream and everything else. I really didn't realize how hard it was going to be to get that weight off after.

I remember after I had Kayla, it was months later and I still had 40 pounds to lose, I was feeling like, how the heck can I get this weight off because I just feel terrible, uncomfortable and just didn't feel good inside or out. I thought I could eat whatever I wanted when I was pregnant and that the weight would just fly off afterwards. The weight did come off easy after I had Matthew and I gained the same amount of weight but after Kayla..it was glued to me. It could of been the ice cream eating that I had every night or the yummy waffles with peanut butter and syrup poured all over every morning and who the heck knows what else I ate, but it was crazy! I went wild and I was just so hungry!! I went to my friends Home party months after I had Kayla and one woman said to me, when are you due and I was mortified. I decided at that moment, it was time and that I did not want to say 5 years later, that I still had the baby weight to lose. I knew that I had to do something.

I signed up at the gym and I felt so intimidated there and I would just stay on the treadmill and hope that this weight would just fall off yesterday. Scott came across this book by Tosca Reno called Clean Eating and we both read it and it just clicked. It came to 80 percent is your nutrition! Who knew!! I thought I could just exercise it off...well I needed to change my eating habits too. Once I started eating that way, I found that I felt awesome and energized. Along the way I came across Insanity and I completely fell in love with that program. When I combined fitness with clean eating is when I saw the biggest change. It took me a full year to get the complete 40 pounds off but it worked. It never came back and I have been eating that way since and exercising. I made it my lifestyle. I have learned that I can have cheats too, I follow the 80/20 rule. I like to have sweets, pizza and cheeseburgers just like the next person, but you have to find a healthy balance.

I have so much passion for fitness and health because I have seen how it changed my own life. I couldn't believe that the way I eat could have that much effect. I became healthier inside and out. My confidence and energy grew!! My anxiety was reduced!! I just felt better overall about myself! Eating healthy and daily exercise has done amazing things for my health and I love to help others feel the same thing and see how it can change their lives too. Becoming a Beachbody Coach has allowed me to share this passion and help others and it has been a great decision in my life that I just want to keep sharing!
