Shakeology helped me!

All I have to say is how much I look forward to my Shakeology Shake everyday! I totally crave it and I like to have it either as my 3:00 snack or after dinner as a dessert! It totally taste like a dessert to me!

It has totally helped me with my cravings for junk because when I don't drink the shake, I am in our snack closet on a mission eating everything that is not good for me. All those snacks do nothing for me, I still want more!! When I drink my shake, I find that I don't... have those cravings and I stay clear of that closet! Also, my allergies have never been better!! I have had issues since I was a kid, every winter I would get this crazy cough that would keep me up all night long...and Scott too since marriage..lol! Since drinking this shake...this is the first winter that I did not get that crazy cough and nasal drip. YEAH!!

Peppermint Mocha Chiller!

Get the flavor of chocolate and peppermint with this yummy Shakeology recipe made with brewed coffee.
Total Time: 5 min.
Prep Time: 5 min.
Cooking Time: None
Yield: 1 serving
Ingredients:
½ cup brewed coffee, chilled
½ cup unsweetened almond milk
1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
½ tsp. pure peppermint extract
1 cup ice
Preparation:
1. Place coffee, almond milk, Shakeology, extract, and ice in blender; cover. Blend until smooth.

P90x3 & T25 Hybrid workout schedule: Core Speed

Todays workout was Core Speed under P90x3 & T25 Hybrid workout schedule. This is a Focus T25 Beta workout and I have to say it was the hardest one to date.  This was my first time through and it was tough.  Some of the moves were new to me since I never completed this whole program.  I had completed the P90x3 program and then started this hybrid workout with the two programs.  Your core really is stressed in this one.  You will feel the core start to fatigue at the end of this program.

P90x3 & T25 Hybrid workout schedule: Lower eccentric

Todays workout was lower eccentric under my P90x3 & T25 Hybrid workout schedule.  The workout is only thirty minutes which is great since I am not a big fan of doing legs which lower eccentric concentrates on.  The eccentric workout concentrates on the negative of the exercise increasing the time under tension by 50%. 

There are three distinct phases in the movement of muscles and tendons: isometric (no movement), concentric   (contracting) and eccentric (extracting). All three of these stages in muscles movements have an effect on muscle tissues and tendons (tendons are what attach the muscle to the bone).
Eccentric training focuses on slowing down the elongation of the muscle process in order to challenge the muscles, which can lead to stronger muscles, faster muscle repair and increasing the metabolic rate . P90x3 & T25 Hybrid workout schedule: lower eccentric

Today was lower  eccentric for the P90x3 & T25 Hybrid workout schedule. The main theme behind the workout is the same as the upper eccentric workout.  The theme is to explode up and then slow negative (eccentric = when the muscle lengthens) The time under tension increases which allows for faster muscle growth. Tony indicated it increases the tension by 50 % which leads to the increase in growth.  The workout consists of numerous lunges squats and adds a balance component with some of the lifts.  I am not a big fan of doing legs but this workout is great and is over in thirty minutes.

P90x3 & T25 Hybrid workout schedule: T25 Core Cardio

Yesterdays workout was T25  Core Cardio under my P90x3 & T25 Hybrid schedule. 

Equipment needed:
None

The workout as the title predicts is twenty five minutes but with the non stop pace it seems a little longer.  It great for your core and beats just doing the traditional sit ups &  leg lifts etc.  The cardio end of it is also great.  I was really sweaty which I added two photos to prove (not bad for forty). The workout title should include legs since my legs were burning throughout.   I was able to finish my workout and go to the baseball game with my daughter.  I had time to spare and made a chocolate shakeology which held me for several hours.

P90x3 & T25 Hybrid workout schedule: upper eccentric

 Today was upper eccentric for the P90x3 & T25 Hybrid workout schedule. 

Required equipment:

Dumbbells - weight varies but no more than 50 lbs. needed
Pull-Up bar

The workout is tough and you can make it more difficult with heavier weights.  The main theme behind the workout is explode up and then slow negative (eccentric = when the muscle lengthens) The time under tension increases which allows for faster muscle growth.  The workout varies from curls to pushups to pull ups and even should presses.  Its a great upper body workout but lack in any cardio aspect.  Thats whats so great about a hybrid workout in that where one program has a shortfall the other program picks up the slack.
